Artists draw inspiration from many sources, and during the month of April Art Adventure Gallery collaborates with the Jefferson County Library Community Read, celebrating art inspired by the writings of William O. Sullivan. Paintings, photographs and quilts all reflect an artist's visual response to the author's 1,361 mile solo backpacking trek across Oregon and his account of building a log cabin along the Siletz River with his wife Janell.

The show combines photographs by Bill Vollmer, paintings by Janell Sorensen, the author's wife, and quilts all created based on inspiration gleaned from reading the two books by William O. Sullivan. In addition there will be a google earth program to coordinate with his hike.
